Ironically, both Marxism and free market capitalism have similarly naive ideologies about how the real economic world works. Marxism holds that a cold, analytical calculus dialectical materialism can be applied to any economic system to achieve an ideal sociopolitical economic world. Free market economics, on the other hand, holds that we can rely entirely on the hidden hand of market forces to sort out and order the sociopolitical economic world into an ideal society. In reality, there is no calculus, nor is there a hand guiding any market economy. Instead, fallible humans have to do their best and use their best judgement to come up with as fair and just world as possible; the best of all possible worlds. And those fallible humans have to continually make adjustments for all the inevitable unforeseen consequences of prior decisions that didn't work out entirely as planned and had decidedly less than ideal consequences. In any modern society, there has to be accommodations made for the reality that interactions and interconnections exist between different members of a society. Thus, a balance needs to be reached between the right of the individual to live there own lives as they see fit and the right of the other members of society not to be imposed upon by the other individuals in the same society. However, great caution needs to be made in limiting the liberty of individuals for the sake of the common good, as some ostensible, plausible excuse can always be found for why the liberty of an individual needs to be limited for the common good; even when the real reason for the freedom limiting measure is for the benefit of a corrupt government official.

http://skolnicksreport.org - Archive of the late Chicago essayist and court reformer, Sherman Skolnick. Keep in mind the site is an archive; at the bottom of the page is a mention that you can get a heavy package of printed material by sending $5 to an address; I highly doubt that address is still staffed, so you wont see those five dollars again if you mail them. Also, it appears the site has been slightly hacked with a link interspersed with the heading "best shares to buy now"; I would recommend against clicking those links, but otherwise the site appears clean with the links to his essays working as originally intended. Also, Mr. Skolnick wasn't the best writer, but always a fascinating one.

I put the above list on here as a quicker way to search for the feature film length movies available on the archive. Of course one can also
search directly for the movie on the archive from here , but if one is just trying to find out whether the movie is on the archive or not, it
just seems to much quicker, simpler and easier to search the text based list I provided.
